About Me
My Background
I’m a Minnesota painter and mixed media artist. My influences range from mid 20th century women working with Abstract Expressionism, to Neo-Expressionism of the 1970’s and 80’s. My work is a journey for me, painting layer upon layer intensely and emotionally. I get excited by vibrant colors and exploring many techniques and tools. Right now I’m working on canvas and wood using acrylic, dry and oil pastels, and inks. My current subjects are abstract landscapes, florals, and the human figure. I spend everyday creating and learning about myself in my studio. I can’t imagine a better way to spend my days.

My Medium
I use many different mediums, such as acrylics, inks, pumice, oil and dry pastels on canvas and. For me, working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. My Inspiration
I studied graphic design at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, In 2018, I went to Santa Fe and was so inspired to create, not only by all the artists, but also by the mountains, the atmosphere, the colors and how the light bounces off them.
